Tatum Hubbard was born and reared in Odessa and currently co-anchors the 6 and 10 o'clock news for CBS 7 with Jay Hendricks. She graduated from Permian High School and graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in Political Science and Communications.

Tatum worked for U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison in her Washington D.C. press office and worked as Marketing Manager for Dallas Summer Musicals. In 2000, she moved back to west Texas to begin her career in news. Since then she has won numerous Associated Press awards for reporting and has been named as Best Anchor by the Texas Associated Press Broadcasters. In 2006 Tatum was named as a Community Statesman for Media by the Heritage of Odessa Foundation.

One of her career highlights was covering the first Presidential Inauguration for President George W. Bush in Washington D.C. She also spent a week covering the National Police Officer Memorial in the nations capitol, following two Odessa families who lost their loved ones in the line of duty. Tatum moderated the U.T. Permian Basin Distinguished Lecture Series "A Discussion on National Politics" with guest speakers Harold Ford Jr., Chair of the National Democratic Leadership Council and Michael Steele, Chair of GOPAC.

In 2004, Tatum received the Texas Media award from the American Cancer Society for the work she did following her mother's courageous battle with breast cancer. Tatum is involved with many community organizations serving as board member and is past president of the Samaritan Counseling Center and the Ector County ISD Council od PTAs. he enjoys emceeing many events throughout West Texas and working with many non-profit organizations to help them create successful and well-publicized events.

Tatum was selected as Miss Texas in 1998 and competed in the Miss America Pageant. Through her years in the program, she won more than $40,000.00 in scholarship money. She traveled every inch of the state sharing her message about the importance of mentoring with adults and children. It's a lesson she learned from her upbringing in west Texas.

Tatum and her husband Brad are parents to two beautiful daughters.
